CSI reproducibility record.

Reproduce the 2012 CSI snapshot.

The methodology version, the configuration, baseline and source-rights hashes, the eight sub-index contributions, the expected CSI value and the exact commands to reproduce the reading on a second machine.

This record lists the inputs that fix one published CSI snapshot and the replay steps to verify them. Every value is derived from declared candidate inputs, carries an explicit data-state label and stays provisional until authenticated production lineage and the benchmark trusted gate pass. A missing or fail-closed artefact renders as an explicit unavailable state, never a fabricated value.

Per-source release identifiers, licence states and parser versions are summarised by the source registry hash and the source bundle hash above. The exact material behind each hash (methodology, baselines, source registry, source bundle, metric values, contributions, confidences and snapshot) is published per period in the verification kit. For this period the anchored proof block certifies an earlier revision of that material: the methodology, baseline, source-registry, metric-values, contribution and confidence hashes re-hash to the values shown here, but the block's source-bundle hash and snapshot hash are the earlier revision's, because a later re-certification changed a hashed input (the candidate label inside the replay evidence) without moving this period's CSI E8, and the append-only tail rule appends a revision block only when the certified value moves. The current material is transitively anchored via block #30, whose hashed previous snapshot hash reaches this period through the material snapshot chain.

Reproduce this snapshot

The reproducibility bar is that a second machine, given the same methodology, source registry, immutable baselines and source bundle, produces the same snapshot and bundle hash. The steps below come from the public verification kit and regenerate the served output; they are shown as text and are never executed by this page. Recomputing the hashes needs only the kit; recomputing the headline from raw observations needs the CSI engine, as the steps show.

The material files are the engine's exact hash inputs. A full replay re-runs the upt-csi engine over the committed collected sources with the exporter and must reproduce every material file and hash byte-for-byte (the runner requires two scratch runs to be byte-identical before publishing).

  • git clones of unpenned-token/upt-csi and unpenned-token/upt-web side by side
  • Python 3.11+ with the upt-csi package installed (pip install -e upt-csi)
  • no network: every input is committed (collected CSVs, splice artefacts, candidate evidence)
1. Reproduce the publication to a scratch directory
cd upt-web && python scripts/export-real-csi-artefacts-v110.py --out ../scratch fail-closed: the certified constants, the candidate cross-check, the parity gate and every hash must reproduce; nothing is written into public/
2. Compare the scratch material with the served kit
diff -r ../scratch/data/csi/verify verify the material files and index.json must be byte-identical
3. Run the public verifier against the scratch tree
python scripts/verify_kit.py --base ../scratch/data/csi the same checks the kit runs against the served tree
4. Run the exporter's own test suite
cd upt-web && python scripts/test-export-v110-mode.py constants, lineage, ledger and kit tests
5. Recompute this snapshot's published hashes from the kit material.
python verify_kit.py --base https://unpenned.org/data/csi/ --period 2012 Expected snapshot hash sha256:15dea5df6fe3284ccf48bc0db0e942cb27187b5acabbe0bcd40eb8a0f1311f17; proof block sha256:426f2de93854574fdf974f7b96b7ce265fdd004368b112e7d6aef6380f989f11 (append sequence 12).

In plain English

CSI 2012 snapshot (provisional).

Free-public composite CSI for WORLD 2012: the weighted composition of the eight first-class sub-indexes. Illustrative and provisional until a reproducible production pipeline certifies a release.

The summary above is the block's own hashed text, written when the block was certified and preserved verbatim; the current publication state is the data-state label at the top of this record (derived from declared candidate inputs and provisional: certified on the candidate track, not yet benchmark-trusted).
