CSI revisions.

Revisions are appended, never edited away.

A revision of the published CSI creates a new proof entry that names the entry it revises; the earlier entry stays in the chain, labelled revised, and the pre-restatement chain is archived verbatim. This page collects those events in one place.

The revision log lists the data-collection restatement of 13 June 2026 (the animal-headcount metric now ingests poultry, FAOSTAT element 5112, which a collection filter had dropped) with its before-and-after values, and every proof-ledger entry that a later entry revised, linking each to its proof page. Under ADR-015 the proof chain is append-only: a re-certification appends a new entry rather than editing an earlier one, so the anchored prefix stays verbatim and every superseded reading remains inspectable. Every value is derived from declared candidate inputs and remains provisional until authenticated production lineage and the benchmark trusted gate pass.

Append-only revisions (ADR-015)

A revision appends a new proof entry that names the entry it revises; the earlier entry stays in the chain, labelled revised, and the on-chain epoch is the append position, so the anchored prefix is never rewritten. A data-collection restatement is recorded as a dated note beside the archived pre-restatement chain.

Restatement, 2026-06-13 (poultry correction)

Revised

Headcount metric now ingests poultry (FAOSTAT element 5112), previously dropped at collection (ADR-012). Methodology formula UNCHANGED; this is a data-collection correction.

Before-and-after values recorded in the restatement note. The pre-restatement chain is archived verbatim under data/csi/restatements/2026-06-13-poultry-correction/.

The headline shown today differs from the restated headline recorded on the restatement date because the nowcast sources have moved since; the current headline and its proof are on the CSI page and the proof ledger.

Proof-ledger revisions

Every proof-ledger entry that revises an earlier entry for the same period, newest first. The revised entry stays in the chain, labelled revised; the revising entry is the one a period link opens.

The append-only revision model.

Under ADR-015 a revision never mutates a published entry: the pipeline appends a new proof block for the affected period, records the append position of the entry it supersedes in its revises field, and marks the earlier entry revised. The on-chain epoch is the append position, so the anchored prefix of the chain is never rewritten.

A restatement that changes the data-collection rule (rather than the methodology formula) is recorded as a dated restatement note beside the archived pre-restatement chain, and its effect on the historical series is visible in the proof ledger as revised entries.
